Germany’s crude steel output increases after seven months

In September this year, Germany's crude steel output registered year-on-year growth for the first time in the last seven months, amounting to 3.6 million metric tons, up 1.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the information provided by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl).
 
In addition, in the third quarter, Germany's crude steel output decreased by 3.3 percent year on year to 10.2 million mt, due to production halts during the summer months extending into September
 
On the other hand, in the first eight months this year Germany's total hot rolled steel product output amounted to 24.4 million metric tons, decreasing by 1.1 percent year on year, including 15.88 million metric tons of flat steel products - down 2.6 percent year on year, and 8.5 million metric tons of long steel products - up 1.7 percent year on year.
