Germany's commercial vehicle output up two percent in July

In July this year, commercial vehicle registrations in the German market totaled 28,480 units, down 19 percent month on month and decreasing by one percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the first seven months of this year, Germany's commercial vehicle registrations increased by nine percent year on year, totaling 205,470 units.
 
According to the VDA, in July this year 23,450 commercial vehicles rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month decrease of 21.7 percent and a year-on-year growth of two percent. German commercial vehicle output in the January-July period of the current year amounted to 189,070 units, remaining stable compared to the same period last year.
 
In the given month, a total of 17,830 commercial vehicles were exported from Germany, down by 20.2 percent month on month and decreasing by six percent compared to July last year. In the first seven months of the current year, German commercial vehicle exports amounted to 142,130 units, showing zero growth on year-on-year basis.
