Germany’s BUTTING to build stainless steel pipe project in Tieling

On December 4, the German company BUTTING signed an agreement for the construction of a stainless steel pipe project in Tieling Economic Development Zone in the northeastern Chinese province of Liaoning.

Founded in 1777, German-based BUTTING mainly produces longitudinally welded stainless steel pipes, fittings and vessels, with an annual production of more than 40,000 mt. Its products are widely used in the chemical, oil and gas, shipbuilding and food industries, as well as in the fields of medicine, environmental protection, power generation and others. Construction is scheduled to commence on BUTTING's new stainless steel pipe project in April 2010, with a total investment of $60 million.
