Germany increases its motor vehicle exports to Turkey

According to a report released by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), Turkey's importance as a trading partner of Germany has grown over the last 10 years.
 
The provisional results released by Destatis show that the main exports of German companies to Turkey in 2011 were motor vehicles and their parts, worth €5.1 billion, constituting 25.3 percent of total German exports to Turkey. On the other hand, in the given year Germany's imports of motor vehicles and motor vehicle parts from Turkey amounted to €1.4 billion, constituting 11.9 percent of Germany's total imports from Turkey.
