German wholesale metal prices down 6.5 percent in Jan

As reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in January this year the wholesale selling prices of industrial products in Germany were down 1.7 percent compared to January 2013, following the 1.3 percent year-on-year price decrease recorded in December. Meanwhile, the wholesale price index was 0.1 percent lower in January this year compared to December.

In January of the current year, wholesale prices of ores, metals and metal ores in Germany declined by 6.5 percent compared to the same month of 2013 and indicated an increase of 0.6 percent compared to December.
