German wholesale metal prices down 4.3 percent in May

As reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in May this year the wholesale selling prices of industrial products in Germany were 1.7 percent higher compared to May 2011, after a revised year-on-year increase of 2.4 percent recorded in April. The wholesale price index fell by 0.7 percent in May 2012, compared with the previous month.

In May, the wholesale prices of ores, metals and semi-finished metal products in Germany were down 4.3 percent as compared to May last year and down slightly by 0.1 percent from April this year.
