German wholesale metal prices down 1.8 percent in October

As reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in October this year the wholesale selling prices of industrial products in Germany were 4.6 percent higher compared to October 2011, the largest year-on-year increase since the 4.9 percent recorded in November 2011. In September, the revised year-on-year increase was 4.2 percent. Meanwhile, the wholesale price index fell by 0.6 percent in October, compared with the previous month.

In October this year, the wholesale prices of ores, metals and semi-finished metal products in Germany were down 1.8 percent as compared to October last year and were stable compared to September this year.
