According to the data released by the German Association of the
Automotive Industry (VDA),
Germany's passenger car output in April this year rose by 26 percent year on year to 469,400 units, while a month-on-month decrease of 15.47 percent was registered.
During the month in question, new passenger car registrations in
Germany declined by 32 percent year on year to 259,500 units and regressed by 11.89 percent compared to the previous month, while passenger car exports rose by 58 percent year on year and decreased by 19.22 percent month on month, reaching 338,800 units.
In the first four months of 2010,
Germany's total passenger car output reached 1,856,700 units, up 31 percent, passenger car exports amounted to 1,385,900 units, up 49 percent, while new registrations decreased by 25 percent to 929,900 units, all compared to the corresponding period of 2009.
