In November this year, new passenger car registrations in the German market fell by 3.4 percent year on year to 260,000 units and were almost stable compared to October, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). However, in the first 11 months of this year Germany's new car registrations fell by 1.7 percent year on year, totaling 2.9 million units.
During November this year, a total of 382,700 passenger cars were exported from Germany, decreasing by 2.1 percent compared to November 2011 and up 13.6 percent month on month. In the first 11 months of the year, German passenger car exports amounted to 3.87 million units, falling by 1.8 percent compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, 497,700 cars were produced in Germany in November, falling 4.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and up 11.6 percent month on month. German car output in the first 11 months of 2012 amounted to 5 million units, falling 2.8 percent on year-on-year basis.
In November, new commercial vehicle registrations in Germany fell by 13.6 percent year on year to 28,210 units, while in the first 11 months of this year new commercial vehicle registrations in the country fell by 5.2 percent year on year, totaling 288,252 units.
