German iron ore import prices down 4.2 percent in August

According to a report released by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in August this year the import price of iron ore in Germany decreased by 4.2 percent year on year and was down 0.8 percent month on month. 
 
In August, the average import price of iron and steel and ferroalloys in Germany decreased by 2.6 percent year on year and was down 0.2 percent as compared to July.
 
Meanwhile, in August this year the import price of nickel decreased by 3.7 percent compared to the same month last year and rose by 0.9 percent month on month.
