Gerdau acquires Venezuelan steelmaker SIZUCA

The Brazilian steel producer Gerdau has announced the acquisition of all the capital stock of the Venezuela-based rebar mini mill SIZUCA - SIDERURGICA ZULIANA, C.A. (SIZUCA) - for $92.5 million.

SIZUCA has an annual production capacity of 300,000 mt of crude steel and 200,000 mt of finished steel products.

The current acquisition is in line Gerdau's growth strategy in the Americas.
