Georgia’s steel pipe imports from Turkey down 17.3 percent in January

In January, Georgia's total external trade turnover with Turkey, which is the top trading partner of the country, amounted to $85.93 million, including exports worth $15.93 million, up 77.4 percent, and imports worth $70 million, decreasing 5.3 percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
 
In January, Georgia's imports of steel tubes and pipes from Turkey amounted to 3,163 mt, down 17.3 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of these imports totaled $2.1 million, down 26.9 percent on year-on-year basis.
