Georgia's semi-finished exports to Turkey double in H1

In the first half of the current year, Georgia's total external trade turnover with Turkey, which is the top trading partner of the country, totaled $939.51 million, including exports of $112.27 million, up 37.10 percent, and imports of $827.24 million, up 35.42 percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
In the first half, semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel ranked first among Georgia's exports to Turkey, amounting to 43,154 metric tons, up 106.94 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of these exports totaled $20.82 million, up 110.92 percent year on year. Exports from Georgia to Turkey of the semi-finished products in question had only amounted to 20,853 metric tons in the same period of 2013.
