Georgia’s semi-finished export volume to Turkey up 95% in January-July

In the January-July period of the current year, Georgia's total external trade turnover with Turkey, which is the top trading partner of the country, amounted to $858.72 million, including exports worth $138.25 million, up 11.4 percent, and imports worth $720.47 million, decreasing 6.2 percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

In the first seven months, semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel ranked second among Georgia's most exported products to Turkey, amounting to 42,636 metric tons, up 95 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of these exports totaled $16.1 million, up 140.5 percent year on year.
