Georgia’s semi-finished export volume to Turkey up 390.9% in Jan-Feb

In the first two months of the current year, Georgia's total external trade turnover with Turkey, which is the top trading partner of the country, amounted to $198.39 million, including exports worth $35.04 million, up 17.3 percent, and imports worth $163.35 million, decreasing 3.5 percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
 
In the first two months, semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel ranked third among Georgia's most exported products to Turkey, amounting to 12,955 metric tons, up 390.9 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of these exports totaled $4.68 million, up 355 percent year on year.
