Georgia’s semi-finished export volume to Turkey up 277% in Jan-Apr

In the first four months of the current year, Georgia's total external trade turnover with Turkey, which is the top trading partner of the country, amounted to $452.29 million, including exports worth $76.09 million, up 18.8 percent, and imports worth $376.2 million, decreasing 8.4 percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

 

In the first four months, semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel ranked second among Georgia's most exported products to Turkey, amounting to 24,652 metric tons, up 277 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of these exports totaled $9.13 million, up 519 percent year on year.
