According to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of
Georgia (Geostat), in the first quarter of this year
Georgia's ferrous
scrap exports to Turkey, the country's main trading partner, amounted to 85,204 metric tons, increasing by 35.18 percent year on year. The revenue generated by these exports came to $31.14 million, double the year-ago figure, indicating that the country's average export price for ferrous
scrap to Turkey in the period in question was $366/mt, up from $244/mt in the corresponding period of 2010.
