Gazprom and Russian pipe producers sign sci-tech cooperation programs

Russian state gas monopoly Gazprom has announced the signing of Science and Technology Cooperation Programs for the 2015-20 period with major Russian pipe manufacturers including United Metallurgical Company (OMK), Severstal, Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) and Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChTPZ).

The programs will contribute to higher construction and operation efficiency of gas production, transmission and processing facilities equipped in accordance with the latest and strictest requirements. The pipe manufacturers are going to expand their product range and raise its marketability.

While running the cooperation programs, Gazprom will provide organizational and consultancy support, and the pipe manufacturers will set up the corresponding innovative R&D and engineering activities.
