French producers’ manufacturing prices up in Jan over Dec

According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), in January this year producer prices in French industry rose by 0.5 percent compared to December last year, following month-on-month falls recorded in November and December. Producer prices for manufactured products rose by 0.3 percent in January compared to December and were up 0.8 percent compared to the same month of 2012.

In January, prices for imported manufactured products fell by 0.5 percent month on month, while a month-on-month decrease of 0.5 percent was recorded for transport equipment as well. On year-on-year basis, in the given month imported manufactured product prices fell 0.4 percent, while transport equipment import prices saw a 1.8 percent decline.
