French new industrial orders rise slightly in February

According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), in February this year France's new industrial orders received, excepting heavy tranport vehicles, slightly increased by 0.6 percent month on month. In January, a revised month-on-month increase of ten percent was registered.
 
In the month in question, export orders improved as compared to the previous month, at a rate of 3.2 percent.
 
Meanwhile, in the given month, industrial orders in the domestic metallurgical industry remained unchanged as compared to the previous month, while industrial orders in the manufacture of metal products except machinery regressed by 2.4 percent month on month.
 
In February, industrial orders in France's automotive industry rose 6.2 percent as compared to the previous month, after a sharp decrease of  36.4 percent recorded in January.
