French manufacturing turnover up 2% in July from June

In July this year, the turnover in France's manufacturing industry increased 1.4 percent compared to the previous month, following a stable turnover rate recorded in June, according to France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). Meanwhile, exports of France's manufacturing sector increased slightly by 0.4 percent month on month in July, after the 2.6 percent decrease registered in June compared to May.
 
In July 2012, the turnover strongly increased in the manufacture of coke by five percent while the turnover of French metal and metal product manufacturing increased by two percent as compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, a 6.1 percent month-on-month increase was recorded in the turnover in manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers. In July, the turnover in the country's automobile industry remained stable month-on-month, while the turnover for the construction industry decreased slightly by 0.2 percent compared to the previous month.
