In the fourth quarter of last year, France's gross domestic product (GDP) increased 0.2 percent quarter on quarter, according to the detailed statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). In the third quarter of last year, French GDP had increased by 0.3 percent on quarter-on-quarter basis. In 2015, French GDP rose by 1.1 percent year on year.
During the fourth quarter, in France household consumption expenditure decreased by 0.4 percent quarter on quarter, after increasing by 0.4 percent quarter on quarter in the third quarter of the year. Meanwhile, in the fourth quarter, France's import value increased by 1.6 percent quarter on quarter, after a 1.5 percent quarter-on-quarter rise in the previous quarter, while French exports increased in value by 0.6 percent quarter on quarter in the fourth quarter, after a 0.6 percent quarter-on-quarter decrease in the previous quarter.
