Freight volumes on China’s roads up 6.2 percent in H1

China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has announced that in the first half of this year the overall freight volume transported on China’s roads totaled 16.29 billion mt, up 6.2 percent year on year, while the freight traffic volume on Chinese roads amounted to 2.9531 trillion mt-km, up 6.4 percent year on year.

In the given period, the overall passenger volume transported on China’s roads totaled 9.5 billion, down 0.5 percent year on year, while the passenger traffic volume amounted to 616.5 billion person-km, rising by 3.1 percent year on year.
