France's steel product import value down 5.76 percent in January-April

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-April period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of € 2.75 billion, decreasing by 5.76 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France imported €561.1 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 12.6 percent, €184.7 million of cold rolled steel strip - decreasing by 8.8 percent, €125.76 million of cold drawn wire - almost stable, €138.14 million of cold rolled steel bars - down three percent, and €452.79 million of metal structures and parts - declining by 3.7 percent, all compared to the January-April period of 2014.
