France's steel product import value down 3.08 percent in H1

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-June period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €4.18 billion, decreasing by 3.08 percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France imported €985.16 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 20.2 percent, €276.59 million of cold rolled steel strip - decreasing by 14.75 percent, €186.58 million of cold drawn wire - up 0.9 percent, €201.94 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 3.8 percent, and €686.84 million of metal structures and parts - declining by 2.97 percent, all compared to the January-June period of 2014.
