France’s monthly industrial output up two percent in May over April

According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), the country's industrial production in May this year rose by two percent month on month, following a revised month-on-month decrease of 0.5 percent recorded in April.
 
In May, France's production in manufacture of metals and metal products rose by 0.5 percent, the production of the automotive industry increased by 2.5 percent, while the output of the construction industry increased by 1.3 percent, all compared to the previous month.
