France's metal industry output down 0.6 percent in April from March

France's manufacturing output in April this year decreased by one percent month on month, after a five percent month-on-month increase in March, and rose by 0.2 percent year on year, according to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE).
 
In April, France's production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, decreased by 0.6 percent month on month, after a month-on-month increase of 0.2 percent in March.
 
On the other hand, in April production of France's motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry saw a decrease of 1.4 percent on month-on-month basis after a 2.2 percent month-on-month increase recorded in the previous month, while the output of the domestic construction industry decreased by 0.8 percent month on month in April, after an increase of 0.5 percent in March over February.
