France's steel product import value down 8.2 percent in Jan-Mar

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-March period of the current year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €1.8 billion, decreasing by 8.2 percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France imported €390.4 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 16.1 percent, €129.7 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 6.9 percent, €92.6 million of cold drawn wire - decreasing by 4.7 percent, €87.7 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 14.3 percent, and €358.9 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by four percent, all compared to the January-March period of 2015.
