France's steel product export value up slightly in Q1

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-March period this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €2.42 billion, increasing by a slight margin of 0.76 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France exported €434.64 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 21 percent, €126 million of cold rolled steel strip - up 0.84 percent, €95.41 million of cold drawn wire - down 5.2 percent, €87.46 million of cold rolled steel bars - remaining stable, and €179.52 million of metal structures and parts - up 19.77 percent, all compared to the first quarter of 2014.
