France's steel product export value up 24.2 percent in January-May

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-May period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €4.29 billion, rising by 24.2 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France exported €589.25 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 10.7 percent, €271.69 million of cold rolled steel strip - up 16.6 percent, €149.3 million of cold drawn wire - remaining almost stable, €166.1 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 20.8 percent, and €268.3 million of metal structures and parts - down by 2.1 percent, all compared to the same period of 2016.
