France’s basic metal output down 1.5 percent in Oct from Sept

According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), the country's manufacturing production in October this year decreased by 0.9 percent compared to September, after a month-on-month decrease of 3.4 percent recorded in September.

In October, France's production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, fell by 1.5 percent, the production of the motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry increased by 0.2 percent, while automobile production fell by 4.7 percent, all compared to the previous month. In October, the output of the construction industry in France fell 1.1 percent month on month.
