France’s basic metal import prices down 0.6% in Oct from Sept

According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), in October this year producer prices in French industry rose by 0.5 percent compared to September, following a slighter month-on-month rise of 0.4 percent recorded in the previous month. Producer prices for manufactured products remained unchanged in October compared to September and were up 2.5 percent compared to the same month of last year.

In October this year, prices for imported manufactured products fell by 0.3 percent month on month. Import prices of basic metals fell by 0.6 percent month on month in October, driven by the fluctuations in commodity prices like nickel and aluminium. On the other hand, import prices for manufactured products in France in September were up 1.4 percent compared to the same month last year.
