Foreign direct investment in China increases by 4.5 percent in Q1

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China in the January-March period of the current year totaled $35.42 billion, up 4.5 percent year on year, with a total of 5,956 new companies set up by foreign investment in China, up 1.6 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC).
 
In particular, in the January-March period of the current year FDI by the One Belt, One Road area countries in China amounted to $1.84 billion, up eight percent year on year.
