An electrical fire heavily damaged Lafayette, Pennsylvania-based High Steel Structures Inc. late Monday.

"There was very violent electrical arcing occurring inside the building," Lafayette Fire Chief Scott Hershey told local media. "So powerful I could feel the vibration outside. The first thing we had to do was cut the power."

Hershey said firefighters first used a dry chemical on the blaze, extinguishing it within 15 minutes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but because the building has such significant damage and no power, it is reportedly unusable. Employees who were working in the building at the time were evacuated safely and no injuries were reported.
