Two employees working in the melting room of CMC Steel Texas were injured in a fire Sunday night, both suffering serious burns.

The rest of the employees at the plant at the time were evacuated and the McQueeny Volunteer Fire Department and Seguin Fire Department quickly put the fire out. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The same mill suffered a fire in June, which burned an acre of scrap metal on the premises.
