Final results of CVD review on SS wire rod imported from Italy

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) on September 15, 1998 imposed countervailing duty on stainless steel wire rod imported from Italy. DOC on August 1, 2003 initiated sunset review (full five-year review) of the countervailing duty on stainless steel wire rod imported from Italy to determine whether the revocation of the subject duty is likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury for domestic market. Upon completing the review, DOC determined that revocation of the duty is unlikely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury for US domestic industry as the level of subsidization is below de minimis threshold, were the order revoked. Therefore, as a final result of this review, DOC revokes the countervailing duty order on subject merchandise imported from Italy.
