Final results of AD review on steel pipe fittings from Taiwan
On July 28, 2004, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an administrative review of the antidumping duty order on stainless steel butt-weld pipe fittings imported from Taiwan. The review covered the period June 1, 2003, through May 31, 2004. The DOC preliminarily determined that sales of stainless steel butt weld pipe fittings from Taiwanese producer Ta Chen Stainless Pipe Co Ltd have been made below the normal value (NV). On the other hand, although Tru-Flow certified to the DOC that it had no sales, entries or shipments to the US during the period of review, the DOC found information indicating that there were entries of subject merchandise manufactured by Tru-Flow. In the preliminary results, dumping margins for Ta Chen and Tru-Flow were 2.02 percent and 152.40 percent, respectively. After evaluating the comments received, the DOC decided to make changes in the margin calculation for one respondent. Therefore, the final results differ from the preliminary results. Moreover, in the preliminary results, the DOC issued a notice of intent to rescind the review with respect to Liang Feng Stainless Steel Fitting Co Ltd (Liang Feng) and PFP Taiwan Co Ltd (PFP) since it was found that both companies had no entries of subject merchandise during the period of review. After receiving no comments on this issue, the DOC decided to rescind the review with respect to Liang Feng and PFP. The following weighted-average dumping margins exist for the period June 1, 2003, through May 31, 2004:Manufacturer/exporter Margin Ta Chen Stainless Pipe Co Ltd................2.32% Tru-Flow Industrial Co Ltd.................152.40%
