The period of investigation is October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003. The product under the investigation is cold drawn and annealed stainless steel round wire up to and including 7.62 mm. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) ((formerly known as Canada Customs and Revenue Agency) on April 2, 2004 published the preliminary results of the subject investigation. Upon the notification of CBSA, Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) initiated an inquiry to determine whether the dumping and subsidizing of the subject merchandise have caused injury or retardation or threatening to cause injury to domestic market. As a final result of the investigation, CBSA determined that following weighted average dumping margins exist:Country Margin Korea...............................181% Switzerland.........................181% US..................................165%Percentage of subsidy on subject products imported from India is 6.2%. The provisional duties will remain effective until CITT reveals the results of its inquiry, which will be published by latest July 30, 2004.
