Ferrexpo's iron ore pellet output up 13.2 percent in Q3

Swiss-headquartered resources company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced that in the third quarter of the current year its overall iron ore pellet production increased by 13.2 percent year on year to 2.89 million mt.

In the third quarter, Ferrexpo's pellet production from its own raw materials increased by 13.7 percent year on year, amounting to 2.84 million mt, while its pellet production from third party concentrate stood at 49,920 mt, falling 7.1 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
 
Ferrexpo Yeristovo Mining's pellet production in the given quarter amounted to 846,370 mt, down 0.1 percent, while iron ore production from Ferrexpo Poltova Mining increased by 20.7 percent to 1.99 million mt, both compared to the third quarter of 2013.

Meanwhile, in the first nine months of the current year, Ferrexpo's overall iron ore pellet production increased by 2.6 percent year on year to 8.26 million mt.
