Ferrexpo announces Jan-Feb production results

Swiss-headquartered company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced its production results for the first two months of 2010.

Accordingly, in the January-February period the company registered a 23.8 percent increase year on year in its iron ore production to 4.75 million metric tons, while its concentrate production saw a 25.7 percent rise to 1.758 million metric tons.
 
During the given period, Ferrexpo's pellet production (from its own raw materials) increased by 27.1 percent year on year to about 1.412 million metric tons. The company also processed 79,200 mt of pellets from purchased raw materials, bringing its overall pellet output to 1.491 million mt - up 34.2 percent year on year.
