Ferrexpo announces Jan-Feb 2009 production results

The UK-based company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced its production results for the first two months of 2009.

Accordingly, in January-February 2009, the company recorded a 17.7 percent decrease year on year in its iron ore production to 3.837 million metric tons, while its concentrate production saw a 20.4 percent fall to 1.399 million metric tons.

During the given period, Ferrexpo's total pellet production decreased by 24.8 percent year on year to 1.111 million metric tons.
