Fengda Steel to launch phase one of special steel project

Phase one of a special steel production project including three production lines will start trial production in China's Hebei Province in mid-April, as reported by Xingtai Daily. Hebei Province-based Fengda Iron and Steel Company is the investor in the project.
 
The main products will be high strength reinforcement bar used for pre-stressed concrete, high strength steel strip for packaging and high strength tension bars used in long-span bridges.
 
Phase one has cost an estimated RMB 1 billion ($158.73 million), while it has a designed annual output of 500,000 mt of special steel products.
