Jiangxi Province-based Chinese steelmaker Fangda Special Steel issued its financial results for the first half of the current year on August 14, announcing an operating revenue of RMB 5.801 billion ($0.95 billion), down 8.81 percent year on year, while it saw a net profit of RMB 302 million ($49.03 million), up 10.02 percent year on year.
In the first half this year, Fangda Special Steel produced 1.438 million mt of pig iron, 1.6607 million mt of crude steel and 1.6639 million mt of finished steel, rising by 0.53 percent, 1.37 percent and 1.77 percent year on year, respectively.
