According to local news reports, an explosion at Republic Steel’s Lorain, Ohio facility Monday morning injured three people.

Details of the explosion and identity of the victims were not immediately available, but a representative from the Occupational Safety and Health Administrator (OSHA) is on the scene to investigate.

The incident follows a railyard accident at the same facility in February, in which a long-time employee was killed.

Two months later, Republic Steel agreed to pay a $2.4 million fine to “settle alleged health and safety violations” at four of its facilities.
