Evraz ZSMK commissions new universal mill

German plantmaker SMS Meer has announced that Russia-based Evraz ZSMK Novokuznetsk has commissioned a new universal mill for rails and sections supplied by SMS Meer. The new mill produces among others 100 meter-long rails for high-speed tracks.
 
The plant is designed for a capacity of 1.3 million mt per year, including 400,000 mt of 100 meter-long rails. The new universal mill is also able to produce beams and U-sections as well as round and square sections.
