Evraz releases H1 financial results

The Russian steelmaker Evraz Group (Evraz) has announced its preliminary financial results for H1 2007.

Accordingly, in the first half of 2007 Evraz's consolidated revenues increased by 57.5 percent, adjusted EBITDA went up by 87 percent, profit from operations rose by 87.9 percent and net profit increased by 98.2 percent year on year. The respective figures in billion US dollars were 6.023, 2.05, 1.76, and 1.13.

The company emphasized in its press release that its strong results were achieved due to the favorable trading environment, successful acquisitions, solid organic growth and effective cost management.
