European commercial vehicle registrations up 6.6 percent in October

In October this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) increased by 6.6 percent year on year to 189,092 units, rising for the tenth consecutive month on year-on-year basis, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA). In October this year, growth was sustained across all commercial vehicle segments. Spain (+22.9%) confirmed the positive momentum posting double-digit percentage gains, followed by Italy (+7.9%), Germany (+6.7%) and France (+3.9%).
 
In the first ten months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 1,706,662 units, up 11.6 percent on year-on-year basis. Spain (+36.5 percent), the UK (+16.6 percent), Italy (+9.8 percent), Germany (+2.7 percent) and France (+2.1 percent) recorded increases, all year on year.
