In March this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) increased by 10 percent year on year to 266,930 units, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
In March of the current year, growth continued to be driven by Spain (+24.3%), Germany (+17.3%), Italy (+17%) and France (+13.7%) markets, while the United Kingdom (-1.3%) performed less well than in March 2016.
In the first quarter of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 606,258 units, up 7.5 percent on year-on-year basis. Spain (+20.4%), Italy (+13.4%), France (+9.4%) and Germany (+7.5%) recorded the highest increases, while the UK (-0.2%) market almost remained stable, all year on year.
