European commercial vehicle registrations up 4.7 percent in Jan

In January this year, new commercial vehicle registrations grew by 4.7 percent year on year in the European Union, totaling 132,503 units, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA). The month counted on average the same number of working days across the region compared to the same month of the previous year.

Meanwhile, looking at the major markets, Spain (+44.9 percent), Italy (+12.2 percent), the UK (+5.3 percent) and Germany (+3 percent) posted increases, while new commercial vehicle registrations in France decreased by 5.1 percent, all on year-on-year basis.
