EuroFinance chooses equipment for new mill

Ukraine-based scrap processing and exporting company EuroFinance Ltd. has completed the determination of the main equipment for its first steel producing mini-mill which will be located in the Ukrainian city of Belaya Tserkov.

The new mini-mill will include an EAF, billet caster and a longs rolling mill. The mill will have an annual production capacity of 1.8 million metric tons - one million metric tons of billet and 800,000 metric tons of longs products (mostly rebar and wire rod).

Currently, EuroFinance is holding equipment supply talks with two plantmakers, Italy's Danieli and Austria's Siemens VAI MT. The companies were expected to submit their offers in the beginning of February, while the contracts for equipment supply are expected to be signed in the middle of February.
